Match Report: Under10 01/02/25

LEAMINGTON LIONS 0 - 5 kenilworth wardens

C: MAEVE

POM: LILY

Really tough game today against a very strong team who have barely lost a game and I think what I take from it is our attitude to that loss which was amazing. We congratulate the other team and each other and we move on.

I did obviously see some of them a bit disappointed at the end but really want them to keep their heads up because there were some fantastic performances out there, I know we say this every week but how they conduct themselves after quite a big loss makes me so proud of them all.

I thought we were brilliant in the first half particularly, everyone was amazing and unlucky to be 0-2 down against a powerful team.

Think in the second half we lost our shape a bit as we tend to when we get tired and were a little over powered. Thats football sometimes.

Special mentions to Anya who I thought was especially brilliant in the first half making some awesome tackles/turns/runs!!

Leela for volunteering to go in goal in the second half, you did a fantastic job under a lot of pressure in the second period!!

And our player of the match this week Lily who ran & ran & ran never giving up untill the final whistle. You ability to travel at speed with the ball is brilliant! You gave them so many problems in front of goal!!

See you all Wednesday!!

WE GO AGAIN, AGAIN!! 🦁
