Another really tough game again today against a really strong side. Again though we still managed to play some loverly football at times, but just couldn’t quite get the final ball or shot quite right and that’s football sometimes!
I just think the scoreline was a little harsh on us after creating some great openings. Think we got some of the basics a bit wrong at times today at the back which maybe gave them a few goals but we live and learn!
All this was not help by their No.4 who looked as tall as me I’ve not had their paperwork so haven’t been able to check her date of birth!!!!!
I will say this again, the girls all stuck together as usual and again didn’t look too disappointed at the end, next week we play SJB who we drew 4-4 with at the start of the season so let’s go and get that win and keep those heads up!!!
Special mentions has to go to Isla for volunteering to go in goal and I thought you were fantastic! Your confidence to come out and get the ball was amazing!!
Ava/Anaiyah you both worked so hard today to get up the pitch and work back to help the defence. Both with a bit of extra luck could have got on the score sheet. And Ava you were being peppered with shots in the second half and you still managed to pull off some fantastic saves!!
Player of the Match goes to Maeve this week for creating our moment of the match! After being Rugby tackled by No.4 stood up and curled one top-bins! Also while sub, reminded me she’d never actual had the trophy due to my lack of organisation at the start of the season!!!!
